Work Experience
Informa is one of the world’s leading specialist information providers. To remain in our strong position, we need to recruit great people, looking after them now and in the future.
That’s where you come in – could you be a part of our future?
By spending 1-2 weeks of your work experience with us, you will be able to see what it’s like working in a rapidly growing and motivated company. We think we can offer you a valuable and enjoyable experience to help you make your own career decisions.
What’s in it for us? We can better understand our future workforce’s needs, and, who knows? Maybe we can talk again when you’re ready to start your career.
You’ll work alongside a mentor who’ll provide you with projects to show what it’s like to work in journalism, event management or book publishing, or you may find yourself working in marketing, IT, sales, finance or human resources.
Work experience is unpaid and is available for UK residents between the ages of 15-18 who can make their own way to the relevant Informa office. You must have the right to take up work experience in the UK. Informa is an equal opportunities employer.
There will be a selection process and not every applicant can be successful. We want to see that you’re a good match for our business - as much as you’ll want us to be a good match for your own career ambitions.
Your application must include:
- Your full name, address, contact details and date of birth
- Most suitable Informa office location
- What job function suits you most and why
- How you think working at Informa will help you now and in the future
- Previous or current activities that show you have a keen interest in this (hobbies, school clubs, written projects, subjects/grades at school, etc)
Please understand that due to the number of applications we receive, we will only contact you to arrange an interview if your application matches a current opportunity.
Please send your application to workexperience@informa.com.
Thank you for your time and good luck.
Equal Opportunities Monitoring
Informa is committed to providing equality of opportunity and treatment in all aspects of employment for every member of staff and for potential new recruits. We therefore operate an Equal Opportunity policy.
Each employee and manager, and those involved in the recruitment, selection, promotion and development of staff, must ensure that they treat all colleagues and job applicants fairly, impartially and without discrimination. Informa has a vision of being an employer of choice. Recruiting and promoting people solely on their ability to do the job will achieve this; we will not tolerate discrimination of any kind.
We will strive to make full use of the talents of our employees, irrespective of race, nationality, disability, ethnic origin, gender, marital status, religion, sexual orientation, disability or age, to do our best to provide a healthy environment, and to encourage good and productive working relationships throughout the organisation.
You have an important role to play in achieving a culture of equality and equal opportunity. To ensure that any situation of discrimination is confronted, you can at any time go straight to any director, manager or Human Resource representative to report such a concern.
