Business Intelligence Division

The Business Intelligence Division provides specialist data-driven intelligence and insight to businesses, enabling them to make better decisions faster and gain competitive advantage.

The Division provides intelligence to specialist communities in six major vertical markets: Agribusiness, Finance, Industry & Infrastructure, Pharmaceuticals, Telecoms, Media & Technology and Transportation. It has over 100 digital subscription products including leading brands such as Lloyd’s List, Citeline, Scrip and Ovum.

Products are largely subscription based - subscriptions account for nearly 90% of the Division's revenue - and the majority are delivered digitally. We also make one-off data sales, conduct bespoke consulting projects and operate the Informa Engage marketing services business from Business Intelligence. The Division has major hubs in London and several US cities, and derives more than half of its revenue from North America.

Business Intelligence Division

As the volume of data and information available online expands, the value of relevant, timely and action-oriented insights to businesses and professionals is increasing. Customers look for data, intelligence and analysis that can directly inform their commercial decisions, validate investments, identify new opportunities, win business and operate more effectively.

Our Business Intelligence Division provides the niche, sector-specific intelligence and analysis that gives customers a competitive advantage. We focus on the areas that are most valuable to customers: where intelligence can be directly integrated into their workflow and ing practices, and where it is predictive and prescriptive, targetted at what will happen and what actions businesses can take, rather than what has happened already.

The Division's sector focus, deep specialism, long-standing brands and investment in digital platforms and delivery sets us apart from peers. Learn more about the six verticals Business Intelligence serves within the Divisions section.
