Training Product Manager

Overview of Position:

The Training Product Manager is responsible for overseeing the company’s entire public course portfolio across a range of business sectors. This is a hands-on role, and is best suited (but not limited) to candidates with some experience in the conference production industry. The person will be responsible for product development, trainer engagement, project team liaison, and overall management of the portfolio.
 
The successful candidate will be tasked with the development of several courses throughout the year, meeting production targets and deadlines. The role requires content curation for seminar programmes, liaison with senior trainers, and as such, the candidate should have excellent communication and negotiation skills, in addition to the ability to research and identify new and emerging commercial issues and trends. 
 
A senior level job scope can also be considered for more experienced candidates.
 
Job Summary:
• In charge of overall product strategy in relation to industry sector, scheduling, new course ideas, etc.
• Assessing the viability of training topics
• Developing new products through research and commercial assessment 
• Contacting the target market for preliminary research to define conference content
• Developing course programme outlines based on research and in consultation with trainers
• Working as part of a project management team, including marketing, sales, operations
• Building longer term relationships with trainers
• Meeting production targets and deadlines
• Producing conferences depending on requirement
 
Experience and Skill Set
• Graduate with a minimum of 2 years in a business environment
• Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience as a conference producer,
• Or in a related profession which involves research and speaking with senior management, such as journalism, executive search and industry sector research
• High level of confidence and interpersonal skills
• Well organized with excellent writing and communication skills

This position can be a good fit for either a Mid or Senior level Engineer, depending on experience, aptitude, and desire. A more senior candidate will lead the development of new applications; less-seasoned applicants can look forward to the mentorship and opportunities required to grow into a confident and capable senior.

The ideal candidate would have excellent knowledge of core web technologies (HTML 5, JavaScript and CSS) and Microsoft-stack technologies (C#, ASP.NET MVC, Razor, Linq, Entity Framework, SQL Server, Azure).

ASSC Tax and Compliance Controller

You will be responsible for motivating and managing your team in the provision of accurate and timely statutory financial information to key business partners, external stakeholders and Group finance.


You will work closely with the business partners to understand their individual requirements.


You will be responsible for ensuring a high value service is provided to key business partners and group through effective collaboration with your team.


You will be expected to support the annual statutory audit process and ensure all MDM/GPO processes are followed.


You must ensure that all company policies are adhered to and that specific duties are carried out within set time limits whilst providing an excellent level of service to all Informa customers and colleagues.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Tax & Compliance Controller ASSC is expected to assume the following key responsibilities plus any other reasonable duties as required:


• Oversee all Financial Accounting policies in line with any recent updates or changes providing training or guidance where necessary across the business and Global Support as required
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with key business partners such as Group Finance
• Play an active role in any key Global Support projects or initiatives that will impact Tax & Compliance, including Corporate simplification.
• Oversee the preparation of statutory accounts and ensure that the working files are clear and concise.
• Oversee the monthly financial reporting cycle
• Oversee completion of balance sheet reconciliations in line with Group timetable which will be prepared by the team.
• Oversee & assist in the completion of information requested from Group Tax, Group and Group Finance.
• Complete corporate secretary tasks when required

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversee, Motivate and manage your Tax & Compliance team.
• People development to ensure the effectiveness of all staff within the department concentrating on both performance and soft skill development
• Planning and prioritising the work within the department ensuring resource management is considered
• Preparation and reporting of specific performance metrics within agreed deadlines
• Ensure a robust communication structure is in place across the team to ensure all key messages are communicated.
• Participate in Recruitment & Selection processes

• Excellent knowledge and understanding of all Tax & Compliance processes including best practice in Tax & Compliance, people, processes and technology
• Significant knowledge of SAP system
• Excellent knowledge of leadership, coaching and people development
• Recognised qualification/Accounting degree preferable (SSC Specific)
• A track record of continuous professional and management development
• Knowledge of dealing with acquisitions and disposals
• 6 years relevant Tax & compliance/accounting experience
• Knowledge of lean, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies preferred
