2016: Acquisition of Penton Information Services

On 2 November 2016, Informa completed the £1.2bn acquisition of Penton Information Services, a leading independent US-based Exhibitions and Professional Services Group, as part of the 2014-17 Growth Acceleration Plan.

As one of the sources of financing for the deal, the Group carried out a fully-underwritten one for four Rights Issue, which closed for acceptances on 25 October 2016 and raised £715m.
