LEAP 2025, the world’s most attended tech event, has opened to a record breaking $14.9bn USD of new technology investment announcements into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
LEAP, which launched in 2022, has grown to become a major brand in international technology and innovation. This year, over 200,000 attendees and 1,500 exhibitors are expected to attend the event at the Riyadh International Exhibition and Convention Centre in Malham, with over 1,000 expert speakers discussing the future of tech across 15 stages.
The Kingdom’s newly announced investments include a $1.5bn USD partnership between Groq, the Silicon Valley-based AI chipmaker, and Aramco Digital, to expand AI-powered inference infrastructure and cloud computing.
Lenovo and ALAT announced a $2bn USD commitment to establish an advanced manufacturing and tech centre integrating AI and robotics.
And Google also announced plans to launch a global AI hub in Saudi Arabia to meet regional and international demand.
New for 2025 is SportsTech: a content track that brings together industry leaders, athletes and investors to explore how tech is transforming sports at every level.
Groundbreaking prototypes across robotics, AI, fashion tech, and mixed reality will also be demonstrated live.
Golden Gloves VR, an immersive virtual boxing training experience, will be showcased by US boxer David Perez, and Adobe’s Project Primrose will unveil an interactive clothing made from non-emissive textiles, that allows for the display of digital content.
This year’s LEAP also features AI powered matchmaking. Via the LEAP 2025 app, 1,600 investors will be paired with 680+ vetted start ups according to their interests and funding preferences.
LEAP is owned and organised by Tahaluf, a joint venture partnership between Informa PLC, the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones (SAFCSP) and the Events Investment Fund (EIF).
