EPFR Global expands intelligence available to financial institutions
Boston, MA, November 18, 2016: EPFR Global, an industry leader in fund flow and allocation data, announced today the launch of the EPFR Stock Flows and Stock Allocations data sets.
In a fast-paced and highly competitive market, financial professionals are in constant need of reliable intelligence that helps them understand the current situation and its context. This intelligence enables them to identify inflection points as soon as they occur.
EPFR Stock Flows and Stock Allocations provide visibility into the individual stocks that mutual funds and ETFs are investing in, and at what levels, going back to 2010.
EPFR Stock Flows, a derived data set aggregated by fund group, tracks the dollar amount that funds are putting into or taking out of individual U.S. and global equities on a daily and monthly basis.
“Successful investors are always on the lookout for data that provides them with unique insights,” said Adam Longenecker, Director of Quantitative Research at EPFR. “This new dataset will help investors analyze flows and fund positioning on the security level.”
The Stock Allocations offering tracks the percentage ownership of equity securities by fund groups based on criteria such as geographic focus, style/sector, active vs. passive, and ETF vs. mutual fund. The data set tracks more than $4 trillion in global equity assets, including $2.7 trillion from mutual funds.
“This combination of flows and allocations intelligence sheds unique light on the investment community’s movement of securities and how heavily they weight those securities,” said Cameron Brandt, Director of Research at EPFR. “These data sets explain, in granular detail, the natural evolution of single-stock allocations and flows. We are thrilled to bring this exclusive and in-depth offering to the global investment community.”
