Her Highness Sheikha Sheikha Bint Saif officially opened The Bride Show Abu Dhabi

Her Highness Sheikha Sheikha Bint Saif, wife of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nayhan and Chairwoman of the Make- A-Wish Foundation UAE, officially opened The Bride Show Abu Dhabi 2012 with a formal ribbon cutting ceremony. The event marked the beginning of a four-day celebration of the luxury bridal market, which attracted thousands of discerning visitors from the GCC and beyond, and featured an array of new features for its eleventh edition.

Following the ceremony, held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, Her Highness Sheikha Sheikha Bint Saif, undertook a guided tour of the Show, meeting a selection of leading fashion houses and brands participating, before taking in a private catwalk presentation by renowned Syrian couture designer Rami Al Ali. The private fashion show was concluded with a charitable donation of 45,000 AED to the Make-A-Wish Foundation UAE, which is run by Her Highness Sheikha Sheikha Bint Saif’s Office and is the official charity of The Bride Show Abu Dhabi.

Day One of the Bride Show was declared a huge success, which commenced with glamorous public fashion shows by Rami Al Ali, Emirati bridal designer Dar Al Mansoury and La Maison De Rêve, presenting a dazzling selection of elegant and extravagant dresses, which were well received by the fashion-aware audience. Elsewhere, the introduction of the new VIP lounge was met with an overwhelmingly positive response, allowing visitors the chance to enjoy pampering treatments, refreshments and reserved seating at the shows for just 100 AED. The Bride Show is also maintaining its reputation for amazing raffle prizes this year, with a beauty hamper worth 5,000 AED available to win each day, courtesy of Citruss TV.
