Informa makes donation to Haiyan appeal

Informa PLC is donating over £54,000 to help with the relief effort following the devastating impact of Typhoon Haiyan on areas of the Philippines.

The company arranged a collection in each of its offices worldwide and agreed to match all employee donations.

In two weeks, the equivalent of £27,058 was raised by staff. Informa is therefore passing on £54,116 to the Red Cross to help areas of the Philippines affected by the natural disaster.

Peter Rigby, CEO of Informa, said: “We are pleased to support the recovery effort in the Philippines following the devastating impact of Typhoon Haiyan. I’d like to thank all Informa employees that donated money to the fund for their generosity and hope that it will go some way to improving the lives of those affected.”
