Renowned Credit Team Joins Informa Global Markets
New York – Informa Global Markets (IGM) announced today the appointment of Stephen Carter, Andrea Johnson, and Christopher Reich as key members of the IGM Credit team.
Collectively, they have over 50 years of market experience and deep relationships with syndicate desks on the Street. They all return to IGM after several years with IFR Markets and the Reuters editorial organisation. They join Frank Sannella from Thomson Reuters who was appointed as Managing Director of IGM.
The expansion of the Credit team and the new leadership from Frank Sannella signals a notable change at IGM to better address customer requirements and the transformation that has taken place in the industry.
Stephen Carter, CFA joins IGM as a Senior Analyst. Stephen focuses on the high yield new issue bond market. Stephen also follows high yield market flows and liability management events. Prior to joining IGM, Stephen was Senior Analyst at IFR Markets where he managed the US Credit team. He was previously with MCM, where he also covered high yield. Stephen also has experience covering the equity, preferred, and investment grade corporate new issue markets. Stephen began his career at Lehman Brothers as an analyst with Finstat, a financial statistics database. Stephen has a BA from Queen's University at Kingston, Ontario and an MBA from Baruch College (CUNY). He received his CFA Charter in 2004.
Christopher Reich, Senior Analyst will provide timely coverage of the investment grade corporate markets. His remit focuses on new issue flow and any deal related activity for both the primary and secondary markets. Prior to joining IGM, Chris was a Senior Analyst at IFR Markets and was the CorporateWatch product manager. He previously worked at MCM covering the equity markets but started his career at Investment Dealer’s Digest. He graduated from Stony Brook University with a BA in Economics.
Andrea Johnson, Senior Analyst will focus on the US investment grade corporate market. Through contact with investors, traders, capital markets professionals, strategists and syndicate desks, Andrea’s commentary centres on all deal related activity for both the primary and secondary market. Andrea was previously a Senior Analyst with IFR Markets for seven years. Andrea has previously worked at MCM, Tech Data, Investment Dealer’s Digest, and IFR magazine covering different markets such as ABS, emerging markets, MBS, and forex. She has lived overseas in Hong Kong and London having started her career at Euroweek
